Who we are
Technology Advisory Professionals Inc. (“TAP”) is a technology advisory firm at 112 4 Ave SW, Calgary, AB. We handle personal information under Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, work email, phone, company, role and message, through our contact form, booking page, the Health Check Scorecard, email and meetings.
- Scorecard answers: your responses and score from the Health Check Scorecard at healthcheck.tapintotech.com.
- Website usage: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and how you interact with pages.
Tools that process this information
- HubSpot stores contact details and inquiries in our CRM.
- Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Bookings, Teams) handles email, scheduling and meetings.
- Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity measure how the website is used. Clarity records de-identified session interactions such as clicks and scrolling, with form inputs masked.
- Apollo.io identifies the companies that visit our website, and is the sales database we use to find and contact business prospects.
- Twilio SendGrid sends Scorecard results and notifications.
- Cloudflare hosts and secures this website.
Some of these providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information stored there is subject to the laws of that country.
How we use it
We use personal information to reply to you, schedule and deliver our services, send results you ask for, follow up on business inquiries, and improve our website and services. We do not sell personal information. We send commercial email only where we have express or implied consent under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every message identifies TAP and includes a way to unsubscribe.
Cookies and your choices
Analytics and marketing tools (Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, HubSpot and Apollo) load only if you accept them in the cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page, or block cookies in your browser; the website still works without them. If you use our contact form, your details are sent to HubSpot, our CRM, so that we can reply; this does not set cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as the law requires, and then delete or anonymize it.
How we protect it
We use reasonable security safeguards, including access controls, encryption in transit and reputable providers, to protect personal information against loss and unauthorized access.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to its use. Contact [email protected] or 403-689-8332.
